The module critically explores the current theoretical perspectives and specifically considers their practical application in relation to investment strategies and corporate decision making. You’ll engage with the very latest research in international business in your final year while developing your knowledge of international strategic management. You’ll compete in an international business simulation, giving you the opportunity to develop and apply your knowledge of business strategies and theories in a practical team-based environment. Final year is also where you will develop an advanced understanding of financial and investment theory. A range of complementary optional modules allows you to study topics such as financial derivatives, auditing and corporate governance among others.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS FINANCE

This module aims to further develop student’s understanding in the key concepts in finance. Students will learn about the function of capital markets, the relationship between risk and return and how to price a variety of financial assets. You will also look at some of the challenges facing financial management in an international context, such as overseas initial public offerings and variances of regional accounting standards.
