The Successful Futures module in year two will foster your professionalism and introduce you to the graduate recruitment process, including practical advice to excel at interviews and assessment centres. A degree in international business and finance will ensure you have a clear grasp of international business practices and can open the door to global opportunities. Your first year ensures you develop a solid foundation in accounting and finance for business, the business life-cycle and how multi-nationals manage their core business functions, such as marketing and HR. You’ll also benefit from additional training in numerical skills, to build your confidence in handling financial data sets.
Students will be provided with a letter of support to accompany their application. Students must submit their application for their permit before being permitted to view and apply for jobs on the Co-op Services database. Confirmation of a position will not be approved until a student can confirm they have received their permit.
International Business and Finance MSc

International business and management research focuses on the trade of goods, services, technology, capital, and knowledge across borders, involving transactions between two or more countries. SSRN provides the opportunity to share different outputs of research such as preliminary or exploratory investigations, book chapters, PhD dissertations, course and teaching materials, presentations, and posters among others. Multinational firms can organize their financial operations in a centralized, decentralized, or hybrid organization structure.
- The module content is based around a negotiated topic area following discussions with tutors and introduced at a preliminary stage in the Advanced Legal Research Methods module as a Research Proposal.
- It assumes no prior knowledge, instead providing a grounding in the subject enabling students to see how businesses are affected by developments in specific markets as well as by changes at the level of the entire economy.
- Graduates not meeting the above criteria may still enter via the Masters Entry Programme consisting of 4 bridging modules introducing the learner to business and finance.

Applicants submitting an English language test to satisfy the requirements of the English Language Proficiency section of this Calendar may use that test to also satisfy the 4U English prerequisite requirement. Once a student has been given admission or continuation confirmation to the co-op option s/he must complete and pass COOP 1000 (a mandatory online 0.0 credit course). Students will have access to this course a minimum of two terms prior to their first work term and will be notified when to register.

This course analyses a wide range of issues in international finance and their practical applications. This course also examines the challenges and problems faced by firms in the global marketplace in doing international business during the next decade from the international finance perspective. Through an in-depth understanding of the marketing field including the challenges of global forces, new technologies and changing customer demographics, students develop practical skills that contribute to improving organisational performance.
