International Business Management Program UAJY

Teaching is through a mix of lectures, tutorials, seminars and lab sessions and the breakdown of these activity types is shown in each module description. We welcome applications from mature students with non-standard qualifications and recognise all other equivalent and international qualifications. Through block teaching, you will focus on one subject at a time instead of several at once.

  • Holders of the Qatar High School Certificate, or the Thanawiyan Mustaqala are not usually eligible for direct entry onto our undergraduate courses without the completion of a suitable foundation programme, such as one of our foundation pathways.
  • You’ll learn to use strategic analysis to make choices which create stakeholder value and strategic advantage in the complex business world.
  • Applicants will typically be required to pass the WAEC in at least five subjects at an average of B/C, and the first year of a university degree in a relevant subject with an average grade of 54%/2.00, to include any essential subject at 60%/2.70.
  • As well as Abertay scholarships for English, Welsh, Northern Irish and international students, there are corporate and philanthropic scholarships available.

There is help for students in the form of loans and non-repayable grants from the University and from the government. 35 points overall including 5 in Standard level Maths courses or 4 in Higher level Maths courses, and 5 in English , with 17 points from Higher Level subjects. The course culminates with your dissertation, an independently researched project that you submit in your final year, allowing you to apply your research and analysis skills to a management topic of your choice. Choose to take an optional year in industry gaining practical experience or spend a year studying in another culture at one of our many partner universities across the world. Application for most full-time undergraduate and foundation courses is via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service . We will consider you as an individual and take into account all elements of your application, not just your qualifications.

Starting a Business Venture (Optional)

You will be armed with core business management skills and an understanding of the international business environment, as well as a sound grounding in digital marketing, change and transformation, business analytics, finance and supply chain. The module introduces students to some of the key themes and perspectives within a number of different subject disciplines within management. Through a series of 4 two-week ‘packages’ the module will introduce students to key issues within marketing, sustainable development, operations management and strategic management. The module is designed to help students to start to identify the interconnections between the different disciplines within management and to see how differing perspectives tackle key contemporary challenges. The module will be delivered through a series of 2-week subject ‘packages’ by experts in the different disciplines.
